About me
DR. SHELLI HENEHAN is the Coordinator of Assessment and Professor for the School of Education at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, where she is currently also serving as the Director of Early Childhood Education. Her doctoral degree is in Workforce Development, specializing in Adult Education. Research interests include cultural institutions, early childhood curricula, transformative learning strategies and educational assessment strategies. Shelli’s passion is providing educational opportunities for adult women, through state grants funded for delivering professional development. Also, she has written proposals and has been funded for developing curricula for early childhood educators in her state. She is currently an on-site reviewer for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), after serving as a NAEYC peer-reviewer for Early Childhood Associate Degree Accreditation (ECADA) from 2008-2016. Living out her penchant for supporting adult students in their educational pursuits, Shelli encourages them to continually seek professionalism via membership in education organizations and involvement in their chosen fields. Shelli is listed in the Arkansas Professional Development Registry as an advanced trainer.
