Rebecca Freedman is an experienced educator and consultant. As Sr. Vice President of Professional Development at FirstDay Learning, Ms. Freedman oversees all content development designed to support educators and families in evidenced based mental health and Applied Behavior Analysis solutions. She also works with organizations to design effective implementation pathways and ensures the quality of training, coaching and consultation services offered by FirstDay Learning. Ms. Freedman’s prior experience includes overseeing a team of CLASS Specialists and creating and enhancing professional development programs as Director of Professional Services at Teachstone as well as overseeing consulting to Head Start programs throughout the state of Florida by providing professional-level expertise on best practices for children from birth to five at ICF. As a former Associate Director at Nova Southeaster University (NSU), Ms. Freedman worked with a team of senior management across multiple departments to develop new programs and initiatives for children and families. Ms. Freedman’s experience also includes collaboration with leadership from community-based development organizations -- nationally to provide technical assistance and curriculum design to high-need early education centers -- and Internationally in assisting schools with curriculum development and innovation. Clinical experience includes writing and overseeing the implementation of behavior plans for children ages’ birth to five and training educators in positive behavior support systems.
