I have been working in Montessori for almost 20 years and have AMS credentials in Early Childhood as well as a Master's in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development. I taught in a public Montessori school in inner-city Houston for nine years before becoming a private school director. I strongly believe that all children are curious and capable, and when given the right tools, they can do more than we give them credit for. My own daughter was in Montessori from the age of 3 months through 5th grade. I am the head of a unique Montessori school in Houston that teaches Mandarin as a second language.
