About me
With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education, I have worked as an infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten teacher, as well as a child care consultant. Currently, I serve as a School Readiness Pre-K Specialist. I hold a bachelor's degree in child development and a master's degree in early childhood education, and I am currently pursuing a second master's degree in special education. I am passionate about the critical role the first five years play in a child's development and learning. I believe these early years should be rich in opportunities for exploration, play, literacy, language, and experiences that foster social-emotional growth. I am married to my wonderful husband Nelson, and have two awesome sons Derrick (17), and Ayden (13).
